If you currently have a BCBS Medicare Advantage or Presbyterian Senior Care Medicare Advantage plan, you may have heard about upcoming changes to BCBS Medicare Advantage or Presbyterian Medicare Advantage coverage for 2027.

What Should BCBS Medicare Advantage or Presbyterian Senior Care Members Do?

First, don't panic or make changes to your current coverage based solely on something you've heard.

Review any official notices you receive from Blue Cross or Presbyterian regarding your 2027 coverage. These notices can contain important information about your plan and the options available to you.

When evaluating Medicare coverage for 2027, consider:

When Can I Change My Medicare Advantage Plan?

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 15 through December 7 each year. If your plan has been canceled, you will have an extended Special Enrollment Period until February 28, 2027.  Keep in mind that your current plan will still expire on December 31st, 2026. 

During this period, people with Medicare can make changes to their Medicare Advantage and prescription drug coverage for the following year.
